우연히 접한 이 글귀에 내마음이 일렁인다
 The wording what i came across is very moving


어렸을 때는 얼른 엄마 아빠처럼 어른이 되서 
당근을 억지로 먹지 않아도 되고 늦게까지 TV를 볼 수 있는 날이 왔으면 했고
 In my childhood, I really wanted to grow into an adult
 I’d been waiting for the day I can watch TV late and not have to eat carrots


고등학교때는 얼른 대학생이 되서
담임선생님 잔소리 좀 그만 듣고 교복말고 예쁜 옷 실컷 입을 수 있는 날이 왔으면 했고 In my teen age, I really wanted to be a university student
I’d been waiting for the day I can wear pretty clothes not the school dress


별일없어 따분한 날이면
얼른 대단하고 멋진 날이 왔으면 했다
when I was bored I imagined a bigger future


그런데 지나고보니 엄마한테 혼나 울면서 당근을 삼켰던 그 날이
                             선생님한테 잔소리 들으면서 교복만 입었던 그 날이
                             별일없이 하루종일 뒹굴거렸던 그 따분했던 그 날이
 But In hindsight,the day I was told off by my mom eating carrots
                            the day I was scolded by the teacher wearing the school uniform
                            the day I was very bored
                         

대단하고 특별한 날을 위해 얼른 지나갔으면 했던
별일없이 평범했던 그 일상들이
내가 가진 가장 찬란하고 행복하고 그리운 인생의 조각들이 아닌가 하는 생각이 든다
 I think the day I did something normal every day is a most shining and important part of my life


시간이 흐르면 조용한 카페에서 이렇게 글을 끄적거리는 오늘도 그리워지겠지
over time, I will think of this moment of today
