Korean title of this movie is the gook-jae market. it is a place which is old traditional market. the market is something special to korean 'Cause this place has many story of history and people's lives. 

in this day and age, Korea is a country that developed quickly. However A few decades ago, it was different story. 

Most people in Korea had been struggling with famine because of a war.

they lost home so they had to do anything to survive. some people became coal miners in another country to support a large family and women became nurses who did odd jobs. That’s not too bad, if they had a that kind of job. there were people die of hunger.


In the process, many people had to give up their dreams.
there was a someone who wanted to study more, but they had to abandon dream to survive. the gook-jae market is the place where people had the hard life, and struggled by themselves to get the home and assist their family.

when you see this korean movie, you can also feel joys and sorrows of the Korean people.
