How to have good pronunciation when speaking other languages

When I learn English, what I really struggle with is pronunciation .

as you know Korean has no intonation.

so It was really difficult to hear English for Korean. at first it was just like song to me what I couldn't understand. and It made me experience frustration.

Speaking was also a matter. I could speak English but some foreigners didn't get what I was saying. Because there was no accent and no intonation.

After that, to be honest I wanted to quit learning English. But I didn't do that. and then I started repeating after native speaker's speech. for example TED, American soft drama lines, and etc. 

Surprisingly a few months later, my pronunciation was getting better. not only this, I could understand what people were talking about in American soft dramas or movies.

I know that my English is still limited to a speaking but I can converse with foreigners now. 

Korean pronunciation is also difficult to pronounce to non-Koreans.if you want to learn speaking other languages much quickly I recommend this method to you. 

Just repeat after native speaker. this way may be tough, but you will make it if you really want to do it.

In these days, there are lots of changes in my life.

One thing is that I had my English blog.

It was like a challenge for me. 'cause I've known that my English isn't perfect. I felt scared a little before beginning to write something in English.

It took so long time in the beginning. I was tired even though it was the thing very short. and I was worried about committing errors. but now, I don't care too much when I post. I know There might be many errors. but it's Ok if you understand what I want to say.

If there are errors, I am taking steps to put it right :)

There are many things that I am trying besides my English blog. I began to write some stories online. there's a lack of practice yet but it makes me very excited. New challenge is really awesome!

I can't tell you that will be successful for sure.

But I know everything is going to be changed when you start moving for it.

To be in love with someone is to be vulnerable But,

My old friend sometimes had told me that she didn't want to be in love with someone because she didn't want to be vulnerable any more.

At that moment, I could understand what she was saying 'cause I already knew how many times she got hurt from someone. so I had hesitated that whether or not to tell her I think it would be better to meet someone even though she might be hurt again.

If you are in love, you are to be vulnerable obviously. but to be in love with someone is also to be bliss. so you have to abandon the bliss if you avoid loving someone since you don't want to be vulnerable. 

In addition, you might miss one true love while you hesitate and worry about your mind.

To be in love with someone is still not without hazard.

but what i can say to you is you will get a lot of amazing things if you gather courage a little bit more.

You might have the time that you want to turn back. and so do I. there are something which is highly regrettable in life.

The outcome of life is very difficult to predict. and sometimes even though we knew what would happen as results of that, we just did. then we usually have regrets. but it already happened and we can't change the results so people feel regret repeatedly about what they did. 

And then we sometimes think what if we could turn back the time? if we could do that, everything would be alright?

About Time tells us that if we have the supernatural powers, there will be a lot of things that we couldn't predict. eventually whether we can turn back the time or not, there is always another variable and we can't control this completely.

If so, is there nothing we can do?

Yes there is. what we can do is living everyday as the second chance of life. when you think something is bugging you, you might get angry. but think about this movie. if that moment is the second chance to relive, what are you going to do?

About time, 2013 gives us the message that you will be able to live more happily if you think every moment in our life as the second chance, not the first. if you do that, you will cherish everyday and make better decisions.

You sometimes might watch some movies that makes you be in a flutter.The flutter is getting decreased as you grow up. so that might be a reason why you are looking for movies about love and romance. 

That kind of movies make us feel the thrill of butterflies.

and here is a romance movie which is going to make you feel true love.I guess that many people have already known this film. 'The Notebook' is the best romance movie i've ever watched.

I always remind the scene where the couple are dancing with on the road at dawn.There is no car, no one, but only they are. you can feel titillation when watching this romantic scene. and you can also imagine that what if you are the one who is in the movie.

If this movie end in just love affair, you can think that this is a good one and a little bit normal. but there are the couple who don't give up their love even though there are many obstacles. and the thing surprise is this is a real story.

I recommend The Notebook, if you find the movie making your heart flutter again.

I've met many girls  who want to be the 'Cool Girl'.

They told me that they've got a lot of hurt from guys, so they don't want to get any more. and the girls decided to be a 'Cool Girl'. anyway, who is the cool girl you imagine?

Maybe you think that Being the Cool Girl means hot and gorgeous woman who doesn't care about what her boyfriend is doing behind her. 

The cool girl is never obsessed by her boyfriend if there is a doubtful point.

what do you think about this.

does the cool girl look happy or you wanna be like her?

i don't think so. it seems that the guy going out with the 'Cool Girl' is maybe happy.'Cause there isn't anything bugging him.

But i guess that the 'Cool girl' doesn't feel happy.

becoming the cool girl might looks great.

however if you become like the girl, you might feel lonely. 

because you have to solve the problems with your boyfriend alone to show 'I am a cool girl'.

I am talking not about obsessing but about happiness.

I don't want you to endure everything alone to look like the 'Cool Girl'.

if you would like to be the cool girl just to show you are the cool one, and it makes you happy, i can't make you stop. but i just hope you to be not a just 'Cool Girl. just looking like cool girl doesn't solve any problems you have in your mind.

Actually, I've never thought about this matter before hearing experience of my friends and acquaintances. but on second thought, I realized that I've had some kind of meetings too. I didn't know that I was doing like that at that time.


Sometimes people have said goodbye without knowing it might be difficult to meet someone like that. Because ,at that time, we are too young to realize that true is not always behind us. in addition, it was when we weren't especially lonely.




However once you’ve felt true love, you yearn for the same thing. you might to try to find it again. as a result You become lonely. You wish you fall in love deeply. but as you know, it's not easy to find someone who makes you feel deep love. Then you get tired to seek sincere love, and then you might fall in love with someone unworthy of it.


Because we can't forget the perfect moment we spend with the person who we truly loved. Then we spend time looking for our next fix. at first when beginning love with someone new, we actually believe we are in love. but it's more likely mistakes we made. we are disappointed 'cause he or she is not someone who you looked for.


What I want to say is that we would better to meet someone when we are ready, not when we are lonely. loneliness might make you feel pain. but if you meet some person only because you are lonely, it is possible to make poor decisions.


if you meet someone when you are ready, this is preferable i think :)

I've met many foreign friends. and they complain of problems of learning Korean.(but for me, it's more difficult to learn English than Korean :'(  )





There are many reason why they think so. the first of all, Korean is in the opposite order of English. yes, that's also why I'am struggling with English :'( 

To overcome this difficulty, you need to have no thought of grammar.

I know, grammar is really important thing! 
what i want to say is that not to ignore grammar completely, but to focus on speaking more than grammar.


it makes you hard to speak korean if you are obsessed by grammar.

And Find something that you are interested in.

there are a lot of materials that are useful to learn korean. but it is important to choice something you feel interested. if you learn korean through difficult books or articles, probably you are turn off by learning Korean.

Just repeat after native speaker and start to write something in Korean.

you might already became aware of this. 
I'm not good at English. I just write something in English everyday. Even though I knew there might be many grammatical errors. but i surely believe that I will be good English speaker i try harder. and you can also be a capable Korean speaker if you try every day.

I watched 'Begin Again' a few weeks ago.
After watching the movie, I've fallen in love with the songs of Begin Again OST.
it's really awesome! right? :) 


This movie tell us about beginning of some accidents and relationships.
we sometimes get lost on our way to somewhere. but there is one thing we need to realize is that we can begin again whenever if we try again.


When the moments that we have to decide something, it is needed for us to accept results of past experiences. and then, let you begin again for your life.

I love romantic comedy movies :)
I usually watch that kind of films when i get stressed.
Then it makes me feel better. it's not complex or hard to understand.
all i need when I watch romantic comedy movies is to ready to empathize character's feelings.


















The movie, 500 days of Summer is one of my best.
there is a cute couple. Tom loves summer so much. but Summer doesn't seem to love tom as much as he do. and it makes tom get nervous. he wants summer to assure their relationship but she hasn't wanted to get serious. 

Who do you think is right? :) i'm not sure what the answer is yet. 
but just one thing i can assure you is this movie is really great :D

This movie let us to think of parents and aged people. They were young and had their individual dream.

Korean title of this movie is the gook-jae market. it is a place which is old traditional market. the market is something special to korean 'Cause this place has many story of history and people's lives. 

in this day and age, Korea is a country that developed quickly. However A few decades ago, it was different story. 

Most people in Korea had been struggling with famine because of a war.

they lost home so they had to do anything to survive. some people became coal miners in another country to support a large family and women became nurses who did odd jobs. That’s not too bad, if they had a that kind of job. there were people die of hunger.


In the process, many people had to give up their dreams.
there was a someone who wanted to study more, but they had to abandon dream to survive. the gook-jae market is the place where people had the hard life, and struggled by themselves to get the home and assist their family.

when you see this korean movie, you can also feel joys and sorrows of the Korean people.
